Picking a smartphone is a very challenging task. A lot of term and technologies to learn about.This guide will help you to find your way through the decision.

There are several specifications and devices you need to know before you going to buy a smart phone.

Hardware devices： processor, ram and storage. Screen touch sensitivity, screen resolution, battery and the price.

Processor, ram, and storage:
Processor is the main device in the machine. How's your machine perform is mainly depends on the processor. So choose the processor with higher clock rate. Same to ram, ram is the "speed" of the machine. Usually smartphone ram cover range is 512MB to 2GB so better choose with higher space ram. Storage is just a hard-disk for storing. You will need more storage to add music and videos especially for the user who love videos. 32GB device are natural fit for major user. But Iphone did well as it has high storage about 64GB!

Battery:
I personally feel battery life is the most important device. It will be very disappointed if picking a phone that can keep working for only one hour right? So, be caution. Phone's power when internet use up to 10 hours is considered outstanding.

Operating system:
Phones are not like computers so you cannot install different operating system as you like. A mobile OS reflects your lifestyle as your phone determines the application and functionality. Eg: Window-phone 7, Android, Blackberry OS, Iphone OS, and Symbian. So, which one you prefer?

Applications:
Your phone is as good as the apps you have on it. Prior to Iphone, App store boasts nearly 100,000++ apps!( now has reached 300,000++ and few thousand of applications are just made for IOS ) This make Iphone tops mobile nowadays. Compared with Google android market, android market is still in the process of developing and Apps quantities or qualities also behind of the Iphone app store.

01Jan2011 update: Google has improved applications and most of them are free applications not trial edition, this is different from Apple IPhone because almoast all IPhone applications forced automatic update and charges are counted in monthly bill.I personally feel that Google may own its market with android OS. In the market now (2011) two phones was selected that able to defeat IPhone, that's HTC Desire HD and Samsung Galaxy S and these two phones same using android OS.

( note : App store is made for Jailbreak!! And millions of applications and games were free to be download. However Apple was not responsible for any damage after jailbreaking. )
